How can I use an M3 save file on NO$GBA

I've been trying to play Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs on NO$GBA, but it doesn't use my save file from the M3. Can anybody help me to convert the save file?

 

Is the file a .sav, .dat or something else?

Im not sure if the formats are different, but you have to put that file in the battery folder.

 

I've tried that, but it still doesn't work.

 

Try converting the save file using the online converter.
With original save file, put the Source format to M3, and Target format to No$gba.

I assume the save type for M3 is .dat, isn't it? did you just changing the extension of the save file to .sav(without conversion) and put it into the BATTERY file?
