How can i repaint my ds

I have ds phat(original) and it starting to lose a lot of color it used to be silver and now its has many white spots, what color of piant should i use and hould i spray it or just paint it

 

'kay. This is gonna take a while.

First ,cover the buttons ,screen ,card entrence part and every other major parts.

Then ,go buy that figure paints. You know ,the ones you build with hand then paint? They are awesome for that job. Dont use spray unless you are pro. It will be awful :l

Dont paint randomly. Draw stripes. And also dont use pressure. Nice aaand slow(this is getting weird)

Then leave it to dry.

Then open it ,paint inside. Dont paint the buttons ,you might destroy your DS.

Dry ,again.

And for color suggestion ,red DS with one ,single black stripe would be awesome.

Use a sticker or decal to cover it

Easier...

 

Just make sure you get a durable sticker/decal set, the cheaper ones tend to "peel" off after awhile, of course its nothing a very tiny dab of superglue won't fix.

 

Yeah, I would either just try to find a skin or a case for it

 

Just skin it with some stickers

 

i dont know, some paint stores will scan an object and make a custom color of what it scanned

 

OK, you guys need a woman's input. Go on eBay and look up "nds housing" and you will find that in japan and china, they make these things for like 10 US dollars including shipping! They are the outside shell to the nds. You can buy one in any color you like or you can buy a white one and paint it any color you want and then replace your old housing. Most of them come with all the instructions in English and if they don't, youtube has the vids on how to replace nds housing. this is also a great way to replace damaged hinges n stuff. They don't come with new screens. just a matching shield and stylus too. Look into it.

 

Thats a case mod and not a lot of people are comfortable in doing that especially if all they are wanting is to change the color of the DS and unless its a "stock" case and not an after market as there are a lot of issues of how they are not molded correctly in places. Now if the system is broken, yes that would be a good recomendation for a replacement, but only if they feel up to doing it.
