So I'm trying to download a new released game from a high seeded torrent. But the speed I get is to cry about. I'm only having 5 of the 4908 seeds and 31 of the 42384 peers. My download speeds circulates from 20 kB/s to 40 to 50 kB/s. How can I get it to download faster?
well unfortunately theres over 10x as many leechers as there are seeds, that isn't going to help speeds. Assuming you're connectable, have plenty of bandwidth and your ISP are not throttling you, all you can really do is wait and hope the speed picks up.
I dont know if it does anything, but I always remove the trackers that dont do anything productive.I get speeds from 20-1500kb/s and I also screw the upload speed down to minimum. But I dont know much about downloading torrents as I use upnp, not port forwarding.
It's just luck. All about the seeders, that's why you should seed once you get what you're looking for.
Nevermind, It's already finished, Loony was right, I just had to wait, after a couple of hours my download speed got to 600 / 700 kB/s
That's 15 kB/s faster than my computer's torrenting speed, even if there are 100 seeders and 10 leechers AND it's just a text file with one link on it.
Yeah. It was. I don't use torrents anymore. Last time I did that it took a fricken week to get a .rar file that ended up having absolutely nothing I wanted in it (even though the description surely said it had things I wanted).
I think it depends how well your download client works with your computer, because i used to use utorrent and it was super slow, then when i started using bittorrent, it went way faster. Hope this helps
