Hi all! With some homebrew games/apps that use wifi it simply won't work on my DSi but it works from the same cart (Acekard 2i) on my sisters ds lite. :-\ Example of one homebrew is Quake ds. It says it's connecting for a minute and then it says "failure". Is there a fix for this or any other setting or feature to make this work? Also DSDoom won't start at all. It displays the menu where i could choose standard or network game, but when i choose the screens just go black and the DSi hangs. :-[ Thanks in advance for help.
Do you have the required files for doomds to even start? The homebrew it's self lacks the maps and enemy file to even play. You would need to locate them-i unfortunatly forgot what the files are even called-all i know is you would need to rip them out of a pc doom to run. Also-now I'm not sure about the wifi games...as I only used offline apps... But...is the blue light on the dsi coming on? and is it preconfigured before hand-or is there an option to configure mid game?
Yes i have the files: prboom.cfg, prboom.wad and doom.wad in the folder it should be in. Yes the blue light is on, and the WLAN light is flashing indicating it is comunicating, but the router doesn't even react. I've done as it said in the readme and configured it in the first slot.
Hrm...does single player work in doom at least...or no Just letting you know-the doom.wad file has to be in a certain letter case-though I forgot which-but it's been awhile since i used it-I use a psp version now. As for wifi...have you tried other ds games to see if they work? Last time I used doom on ds it's only had single player running-the wifi option wasn't ready. Check the release notes that should be with it.
Hi again! I'm sorry i haven't gotten back to you about this problem. I've solved it. I let the DHCP in the router decide my IP before. Now i use a fixed IP and everything works like a charm. Thanks anyways for trying to help me.
