I recently just hacked my Wii thanks to sadboy and his tutorial: https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=18263.0

However, I need help with the Homebrew Channel since all it does is pop bubbles.
I had my SD card with an apps folder, and wad folder, put all of my wads in the wad folder, and had my wad installer, uninstaller, and manager in the apps folder, but when I run them, it says that it is not a valid Wii application or something along those lines.

I also need help with the "Further Steps" of his guide since it uses the Homebrew Channel.

EDIT: I fixed most things, but now I need a working wadmanager. Should it be boot.dol or boot.elf since the other apps I ran, like DVDx was .dol. Most wadmanagers I downloaded were boot.elf and they didn't work.

EDIT 2: I got virtual content going and wadmanager works like a charm in boot.dol. Now I just need to get my BackupLoader to actually play some games.

EDIT 3: Apparently there is a difference between the backup loader and the gamecube backup loader. No wonder. I was trying to boot a gamecube game using the Wii backup channel.

I got pretty much everything figured out. It's just that people released their crap as boot.elf and the Wii doesn't read those, only boot.dol. I don't really care for the homebrew. I just wanted to play my backups.

No, I don't really care to. I just go for stuff that's useful, like playing backups and wiiware.
