HMH - Hero 300 Mode: Any tips? [SOLVED]

    I am having a hard time beating hero 300.

    I make it to the 2nd to last island, and I cannot defeat the Black Knight or the Reaper without time stopping, having me start over from the beginning.

    I also cannot pay for any of the 'Brave' items, to help me win.

    Any tips?
