Hiding links?

    How do I hide a link?
    I want it to just say download or something instead of http://www...etc etc

    Just to clarify a bit. We don't approve of trying to make a URL appear like a different URL, tricking people to click on something other than what it says.

    Example of OK use:
    Please go to the Technical Help section for more help on this subject.

    Example of Not OK use:
    Hey, check out https://www.romulation.org/ to find out more!

    (Obviously this example is not malicious in any way, but such things could be used in bad ways, and doing so will bring the wrath of the moderators down upon you!)

    Cloudboii12 is well aware of the repercussions of link-masking beck in the old day which in the very least was a tempo ban if I recall correctly.

    As always if you check your URL bar at the bottom, at least on Firefox, you'll see the correct address it is taking you to.

    Just a head's up, be sure to check that out before you click on a disguised link.
