I love playing Hidden Objects Games like Mystery PI, Cate West The Vanishing Files, Mystery Case Files MillionHeir. My question is - Do you enjoy playing them and are you male or female? I am female and I think it's mostly us girls that like playing them. I'd be interested to know your thoughts.
I personally think they are really good. You get a scene and have to find certain objects within it. Things are hidden in plain sight, you just don't notice things because there is so much to look at. I think its brilliant, and apparently it's good for your brain too!
Here is a screen dump of Portrait of a Thief. It's a puzzle game, but the puzzle is finding the objects.
im a guy and i like those kind of games. but when i find most objects, i cant find the last few. its because at first you see so many things and when its all going away 1 by 1, your left with the image of the background with very few to none things looking odd. i say its games like that which helps me spy on people from very far away without a scope on shooting games. games like that help train the eyes. yet playing too much kills your vision. interesting, isnt it?
it helps me with seeing hidden things. i know this is off topic sorry but if anyone played call of duty 4, you should probably be familiar with the mp44. it an automatic that has no scope what-so-ever and relys on the holder of the weapon themselves to aim. on topic: ummm, hello? i played a few of those games on some site. optical illusion sites also have those things. but they screw with your eyes alot. 1 of them makes it look like theres bugs under your skin. it freaked me out.
well not really a "hidden object" game, but i do loved some investigation games like Ace Attorney, Hotel Dusk, and right now im playing Broken Sword, which is kind of a mix between Hotel Dusk and Professor Layton.
i know the game Theresia: Dear Emile requieres thinking and looking for certain things on screen. but exactly like those looking games.
Theresia is an incredible game. I love how it discourages poking everything. The story is damn good, too.
you know the game??? i thought it wasnt known much. i didnt finish it. im up to getting the chicken key. im following a guide because i know for a fact ill be stuck in so many parts
Know it? I'm addicted to it. It's so creepy it's awesome. I love the way it uses your own imagination to provide the tone.
Well since there haven't been many posts, I'd say that Hidden Objects games aren't very popular with either males or females! Oh well, I stil love them!
Hi, just started playing the hidden object games & am adicted can anyone recommend some more for me, many thanks
I love thoose games! And they make you smarter! Well ,I cant get smarter ,I am at top but... Anyways try Depertment 42: Mystery of Nine. It also includes a lil bit of adventure. Worth to try
I'm a female and I don't really find them appealing as they're more of a relaxed game and I get bored reallyyy easily. I prefer a bit more action ;D
They are only good in the original books. When you go to play videogames you should expect something more. Though a game that has something similar to what you are saying is phoenix wright but the main focus is solving murders. Haha. So I find those better than mystery P.I. I got bored after a couple of sections.
I'm downloading Broken Sword now to check it out. Otherwise, the only similar game I've only played Phoenix Wright.
