Hi, tried updating my new R4 i got today, because the games are in the wrong folder, they are in the movies folder dont know why, but when finnished, it dident work, it says ds mat menu missing, or something like that, so ive had to put the old version back on, now working fine, any help appreciated, many thanks, ps, R4 came from hongkong, so trying to get it into english, sorry for being a thicko, but at 39, my brain isent taking it.
Try getting ALL the files from the firmware & CD onto the MicroSD and erase whatever files from the CD overlap the files from the upgrade (basically, whenever you get a popup window saying that there is already a copy of the file on the MicroSD, make sure the one from the upgrade is the one that ends up on there). As far as getting it in English...there's an English version of the upgrade, so...
sounds odd. i've done my and my mate r4. try this format ur micro sd, go to the r4 web stie and download the latest firmware just forget about the cd u got with it. un-rar the file and copy the contents on to ur sd. ur card should now read. _system_ moonshl _DS_MENU.DAT _DS_MSHL.nds don't make any new folders yet just un-rar a game and drop it on to ur sd then see if it works an example of how it might look is _system_ moonshl _DS_MENU.DAT _DS_MSHL.nds 1265 - Mahjong (E)(sUppLeX).NDS see if that works befor u mess about with folders once it work then mess about with folders. hope that works it did for me ;D

I make a folder called "games" on the root of the card and put all my roms in there. so my root has all the firmware files/folders + the games folder.
