Hi everyone! I'm a gamer with a slow PC! (Late Introduction)

Hi everyone, this is like a really late introduction because like I've been here for like more than a year and I never went on the Introduction section.

Anyways I am a gamer, I play a ton of games and stuff (I guess everyone here is a gamer of some sort.)

DO YOU THINK THAT YOUR PC SUCKS??? :-\

I have a slow ass PC and if you skip this part, you will wonder why I am playing old, low-res. games. :
Anyways, my PC was given to me by my Uncle, also a gamer (He loves HALO, FPS, and a few RTS games) and he used to use it like 24/7. It used to be an OLD IBM PC (and I am not sure if it is the last of the IBM PCs Line) He later upgraded it several times and when he game it to me, it had:

AMD Athlon 1800+ @ 1.53 GHz
786 MB of RAM
40 GB HHD
64MB NVIDIA GeForce 4 440 MX
A LOUD ASS FAN

Man, this PC was really loud. You can hear it from the basement when you are at the kitchen :'(

But then, back in June 2009... The 512MB RAM stick was messed up.. NOW I AM STUCK WITH 256MB of RAM! :'( :'( :'(

That sucks, now my PC is slower than ever! I used to play so many games on this crap PC. But there is the thing, I don't have Internet on it :-[ :-[ :-[
It hasn't been connected to the Internet for like 2 years! HOLY CRAP! I thought that I would have Internet on it on the Summer (of 2009)
Still don't have Internet on it... :'( :'( :'(

I have improved it by fixing and modding it a bit.

I like RTS such as StarCraft (FTW) and I played it back when I was like 10 but I only played Multiplayer. Now, I am playing the Campaign of SC1 and as of now I am 50% done the game, I finished the 5th Zerg mission, I got the game on my birthday, installed it and flew past the Terrans missions like in one day (a few hours) because I was so "great" playing the Terrans. After that, I was playing HALO 1, I think that I am half done. And I play CS 1.6 against bots, owned them all in Expert. Those are the only games I play right now (3).

I like making videos such as tutorials and just videos from events. I FINALLY GOT A CAMCORDER after like more than a year of convincing and begging.
It is a Panasonic SDR-85 Black Camcorder with a 80 GB HHD. There are some sucky stuff but either way, I CAN MAKE MORE VIDEOS NOW!!!!!

I am planning to upload a crap load of videos later on in August.

BTW, my dad didn't like me taking videos, I LIKE taking videos, you can be so more creative and it's like 30 pics a second! (Frames per second)
Anyways, I make movies now.

Why not just save up like $400 and build/buy a computer a million times better then that one?

 

Parents won't allow me to spend my money at all...
Wanting a new PC since like ever...\
And I would probably spend $800 so I don't really nbeed to bother upgrading it at all (for the next couple of years, probably in 5 years0

yes, even if it is my OWN "PHYSICAL" MONEY. Even if I did buy one myself it comes into the mail and they WILL SEE IT and they WILL take it away. I think they will notice when a delivery truck (e.g. FedEx) comes onto my parents door and asks for a signature. Someone that is 18 years and older is needed. Yeah, I am pretty sure that they will see the package!

 

Wow, that sucks. And I agree, Starcraft 2 is awesome.

 

no offense but ur pc is really really really shit!. There is no way ur pc can handle games like halo. get a new pc

Actually, it can handle HALO CE, CS, StarCraft, Beyond Good n Evil and Some video editing. And it is OKAY to say that my PC is shit! I SAY THAT MY PC IS SHIT! Like all the time. I am probably gonna get a new one soon...?

BTW, I can probably handle games made before 2004 (except very low demanding games like plants vs. Zombies!
