I've just bought my DS and somehow the R4 card/software is in Chinese. Is there a possible way to turn it back to english? I can read chinese but I prefer english over my mother tongue. Im on 1.16 on R4, how do I update it to the latest version? Also, can I put Acekard 2 firmware onto an R4? Because the R4 holder is just basically (What it seems like) an SD card holder.
You know I was thinking that the other day...I wonder if you can swap firmware for the R4 with something else. I'm willing to give it a try, but I also don't want to screw my R4 XD. I somehow don't think it would work anyway since you can't even use cloned R4 FW on a official R4 without running a risk. For updates you can try here: http://www.r4ds.me/ for V1.18 the last official update since 2008 Or http://www.r4li.com/download/r4.html for v1.24 made by another group now supporting R4. Just make sure not to DL R4i stuff cause that's for the clones. (clones run anything from 4Gig SDHC cards and up where as the offical R4 can only support 2gig SD) As for the English language switch...I'm not to sure...never had that problem before
