A good friend of mine needs our help. Every weekend she compiles a weekend gig list for the "Southern Illinois Music Scene". A while back her hard copy of Scrapbook Plus Version 2.0 got stolen in her friends laptop while she was at a benefit trying to help raise money for a cancer patient. Until recently she was okay because she had it on her hard drive, but last night she had to reformat her laptop. At least 1,500 people are counting on her to post the list this weekend and she has no way to compile the list. She also doesn't have a job so she can't just buy another copy. We have looked for hours... and no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?

There's a download link to a tool that can help you with that problem as well as one that'll give you a basic explanation of what to do. Loony or some other person might have some better toys for it though admittedly.

its probably too late to recover from the formatted hard disk (using the disk afterwards reduces the chance of recovery) and recovering installed software likely would not work anyway (due to the missing registry entries). Either she'll have to find the money for a new copy and be more careful in future (although if she still has the documentation for the one she lost she could try contacting the publisher and explaining, they might send her a replacement disc) or she'll have to find a free/open source program that does the same job.

Or pirate it... She did legally buy it so not like there's anything immoral about it, if she still has her serial code then no one will ever know either.

We have been looking for something similar and haven't gotten anywhere.

She doesn't have her serial number either... But is completely open to pirating it. We're just not having any luck.

Her friend has it on his desktop's hard drive. Is there anyway for her to get it from there & onto her laptop via jump drive?
