Help with using WoodR4

I just installed wood R4 onto my SD card, I have a R4 Upgrade and I pasted all of my old roms onto the SD card with wood r4,
But whenever I run a game it says "Loading" and then a blank white screen.

What should I do to get rid of this?

 

Try formatting your SD after backing it up. Then put the firmware in make sure the one for clones because you have a clone r4.

I tried that just now,
I formatted my SD card, and the pasted the wood R4 for r4 clones,
The R4 said there was no DS_menu.DAT, so i installed my old firmware to run woodr4
When I run a game from woodR4 it still has a blank screen.
Did I do something wrong?

 

Are you using a clone?

 

make sure ur downloading wood r4 for CLONES then jus paste all the files onto the root of the sd card.

When you say global settings you mean the 3 or 4 settings that say ____(global) when I go to the game's individual settings?
And also how do I get another skin?
