help with r4 card needed pls

I have downloaded games to a file on my laptop, installed winrar to transfer them to my R4 card but am now having trouble when I put it in my ds in that it is a black screen with the words 'Couldn't find_DS_MENU.DAT ' in white on it. Have I missed a step or is there something I need to do to get the card working in my ds? Any help gratefully received!

 

Do you have firmware on the card?

Read the common issues thread, it has answers.

 

goto the website on your r4 card packaging and download the firmware. then place the file missing in the root of the card should fix problem.
"http://www.r4sdhc.com/down.asp" look for version 1.34

That is what you need to do,
but it sounds like you dont have firmware for your card.
If you dont have it yet, get the firmware!

 

i think ur missing a file make sure u hav all the files.
