Help with Pokemon SS (NOT ANTI PIRACY PROBLEM)

I recently downloaded Pokemon SoulSilver and I was wondering.....
CAN I CONNECT A POKEWALKER TO THE DOWNLOADED ROM???

If it helps, I'm using the original R4 with YSMenu.

flash carts do not have ir ports that the game requires.

According to Bobykid, the PokéWalker works with the Soul Silver Rom. I guess it is the same with Heart Gold.

How the fuck would it work?
There are no carts with an infrared sensor, so how is it supposed to work?! Magic? Geez..

 

Someone it a topic here a couple days ago confirmed that it doesn't work. I don't know who did what, but so far the only person to say it works is this bobykid person, but everything says it connects via an Infrared Port, which the DS doesn't have, so it has to be on the game cart itself. Meaning it wouldn't be able to connect from a flashcart, because no flashcarts having an IR Port.

 

Is it confirmed that it goes through infrared and not through Wi-Fi?

 

It isn't Wi-Fi for sure. Maybe Bluethooth? And isn't the DS cartridge closed on every side? :/

 

It's IR people, accept it. It has a big ass IS transmitter on the bottom/back of the pokewalker, that's wither a death trap, or a dead giveaway.

 

Yeah, the pokewalker is a form of AP for this game. If you really want to use it you gotta buy the game.
