Hey guys I downloaded pokemon platinum for my Nds i have a Ds fire card for it anyway. I go on the game play it and save it, it saves for about half a second then it goes "game saved" i turn it back on and the save file isn't there. I know that nintendo has done this to stop game theft, but is there anyway i can get past this wall? Thanks
When you press 'SAVE' did the small box in the corner have a 'DOT' spinning around? If not, then the problem is with the "SAVE TYPE". N-Card/Firelink/DSLinker/UNC has ability to manipulate several types of .sav types. You need to change the 'SAVE TYPE' to something else. Press 'SELECT' and the LEFT or RIGHT Pad to change the SAVE TYPE. Look for 1 type that enable the "DOT" to spin when you press SAVE inside the game. I can't recall which one that did the trick as its been too long since I last play Platinum. The latest kernel version for your cart is V.1.45 with XMENU v.2.55. You also might want to download the new DS Organizer to replace the old moonshell. If you want to play PKM HG/SS on DSLINKER, you need to search for the version made by RYKIN122. Its not the real US version but its a 98% translated version of the the JPN version. And it works better than the US version. You need to locate RYKIN122 or KIEKIOS for a download link for that rom. And yes, the SAVE changing method apply for all games that can run on DSLINKER. Of cause since DSLINKER is a very old cart, not all new game can run on it. I've not tried adding WOOD/WAIO/YSMENU/TTMENU on that cart. But I assume you can't, cause a DSLINKER is not supported by those 4 firmwares. So its kind of limited use these days. ....Sorry for the late respond.....
