Via torrents-I found all 3-helpful to say the least :)

    ...have any other games worked?

Look it up here-some games just won't work...yet.

As for mgs3 question...it's very grapic intense-unless you can beef up your stat's a bit (your specs are close to mine) then mgs3 is out of full speed...

If your using a laptop like me-game over :(

I'm not an expert when it comes to PCSX2, but that may not be enough to pull off some games. 1GB of RAM and 128MB of video RAM, the slowness might be due to the lack of power. Sometimes the program just can't emulate it efficient enough, like with Xenosaga, it lags during cutscenes even with two Geforce 8800GT video cards and 3GB of RAM, no matter what the settings of the emulator are.

    I know-I tried many graphic intense games-devil may cry 3 anyone :(

It's far from perfect...it's mostly for the least powerful games-I used it originally for sonic mega collection plus-runs 100%

Also-for the guitar hero question-if it's on the list I would suggest trying a real, known to work, game and see how it goes-if that work's then it's the compatibility/game issue, and not the emulator.
