   Im not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i want to buy a premium membership and pay with paypal but my membership is in my screen name and the paypal account is in my husbands screen name, would this work?

   That's absolutely no problem no, when you click the buy button we track your user id and once the purchase is completed our script automatically upgrade your account, so you can use any name and email really.
