So, my old computer crashed, and there was Itunes on it. I I got the Hard-Disk out of that computer and I plugged that on my laptop. So, I want the Itunes from my old computer on my laptop, but when I try to run it, it Say's something like : the file ItunesLibary.itl is unreadable because it is made with a newer version of Itunes. So I don't know what to do now, cause I already deleted the newer version I had on my laptop. So, if someone understands what my problem is, please try to help me! I really want that Itunes back, because there were 2 account on it, and now I can only use 4 computers out of 5. And my friends account was also on it, so that kinda sucks....

    Thanks in advance!

You could try reinstalling iTunes and then logging in with your accounts again.

Also delete the \Program Files\iTunes folder from your other HDD

Well, delete with Windows Explorer (Porgram Files/iTunes) and your laptops versions rests (C:\Program Files\iTunes),
    Reinstall,
    Relogin.

    Should work.

    Uh, I don't get you? That's not a normal sentence I think...

    English:
Delete the iTunes folder on your other HDD (in the Program Files directory) and delete the rests on your own HDD (delete the directory iTunes in Program Files). Then, reinstall iTunes and relogin on your iTunes account.

    Eigenlijk, herinstalleer.
    Actually, reinstall.

Go to the website and download the latest one.

It might fix it, uninstall the older one first.

Well, it's not the problem to open it, but I mean, there were 2 account tied on that Itunes. You can connect your ipod to 5 computer, but because it was connected to my crased computer, I can only connect to 4 computers anymore. And my friend's account was also on it, so thats why I want to fix that.
(Op die gecraste computer was ik een vriendin gemachtigd. Omdat die is gecrased, kan ik die machtiging niet intrekken, en dat is mijn probleem.)

Deactivate the current one, uninstall, delete anything related to itunes EXCEPT the music and bought content, and try the newer one.

It's worth a shot, the error relates to how old the one your using is, deactivate first, uninstall, and try with a newer itunes.

The error DID say it was made with a newer version.

I know the error did say that, but that was because I had the newer version of Itunes installed on my laptop for a long time, because I couldn't use the other one because the comp was crashed so I hadn't had acces to the Hard-disk. But then yesterday the hard-disk was fixed, and I wanted the older version with the account on my laptop

The account shouldn't be affected by updating.

Just de-activate it, I THINK it just removes the comp from the safe list.

I done this myself since my laptop got it's new OS installed.

You need to update itunes to the latest version.

Go into My Music/iTunes, remove the iTunesLibrary.itl (or rename it if you want). Go into the previous iTunes Libraries folder, get the latest one and copy it where your old one was and try and run.
