Details. -Has 3000 songs and only one movie -Latest itunes program -Store bought content -120gb classic (or 80-all i know it's a new classic) Issue: When playing songs, it may skip to another song randomly even while it's on lock, could be half way, could be 20 seconds into a song, could be 3 quarters into it, it shouldn't be skipping half way thru the mgs4 theme song What I have done: -Formatted the ipod-no change -Checked songs-works fine on pc, and clicking "BACK" sometimes let's the songs play in full, only for the next one to skip sometimes -Checked location of song files (all on external 1tb drive-NO ISSUES) I require some suggestions on what else to do, if it involves contacting apple, I'll leave this as is... All I know is this is the last time I use an ipod, my older classic (the gen before now) had the exact same issue (minus the ones from me dropping it-that one is busted but works-this one I haven't dropped yet)
I'm using the highest rate mp3 codec that ipod does when ripping from cd's-or as they come from torrent files. I used ACC before but I disliked it because my psp couldn't benifit from acc files, and the same problem still happened then. Only now I thought it's time to resolve this.
From what It says over at http://support.apple.com/kb/TA26683?viewlocale=en_US It seems that the song is corrupted.
That's bullcrap, the songs work fine everywhere, and even going back to them let's them work. itunes=full of BS
