I've been looking around for a tutorial on how to setup my gamepad for PS1. Currently im trying to play Ape Escape with ePSXe 1.8.0 on Windows 7. And my issue is, im unable to move my character around the world. All the other buttons are working. I bought my gamepad in GameStop (Cant post a image of it). Ape Escape requires movement by the black sticks. My configs to the sticks do reset whenever i'll press "OK" and below its set to "Full". Whats wrong? Hope some can help me. Thanks in advance.
You need to check if your pad is working properly first. Go to your Control Panel and find Devices, find your gamepad, right-click on the icon and select Properties. You'll find something like this where if you press the buttons on your gamepad, it would light up accordingly. It would be great if you told us your OS, your control config on the emulator and whatnot.
I got xpadder and the pads are working, according to xpadder. Running with Windows 7, 64-bit. What kind of control config? Sorry, but im pretty new to this :-[
