hey guys i (my sister needs help fast!) i will explain what happend. she lost a word document while she has saved it. she has made a bit at school and mailed it to her self to finish it at home, whit IE 8 and hotmail she -OPENED- the word document and then finished it and pressed the save butten (in the left upper corner) for fast saves, then she closed the word and later tonight she wants to open it again but, she can't find it (and me too) and she thinks now it's lost forever (and that's it maybe). IE says it downloads the word from hotmail in a temporary folder. this looks maybe a bit messy and stuff, but i am tiping this late at night so it's may don't have the best grammar :-X btw it's not a regular word document it's for her examens
okay, open up a folder, go to tools, folder options, find the option that hides hidden system folders, set it to show, then go to C:\Users\(account name)\AppData\Local\Temp and you should find it there, i just tested using windows 7, and my own files
never 'open' a downloaded file, always save it then open manually. Otherwise it goes to a temporary directory and gets deleted when the program is closed.
