First of all, my preference is Neku and Joshua. I use the Darklit Planets set along with a specialised SOS set for most battles. It requires a fair amount of skill as well as in-depth knowledge of the pins to work, but it pays off - it's the most powerful set in the game. The downside is that Neku starts off with no health, and healing into his own health will lower his attack significantly. You're basically living off your partner, and in prolonged battles you may need to use Black Saturn to heal into Neku's side if your partner is taking damage while you wait for a fusion to heal both of you. Pins: Black Venus Black Mercury [sub slot] Black Mars Black Jupiter [sub slot] Black Uranus Black Saturn (only healing that isn't a fusion) Neku: Ribbon Mini-hat Goth Bondage Coat (to activate mortal peril and hence the attack boosts of all his gear) Vampire Dress Black Book Bag Joshua: Samurai Helm Iron Maiden's One-piece Lollipop's Parka Angel Feather (the +2000HP is tasty) For the very toughest battles (usually only Hanekoma on Pork City) I use the following setup.
