I probably cannot check the answer for this question because the site won't let me see the page.
Wherever I click, including download and thread in forum, it keeps saying "internet explorer cannot open the page...operation aborted"
now why is it doing this?
It has been for at least 2 days now. any problem with the site?
I tried on 4 different computers with different internet connections, and it still does that.
    what is happening?

Internet Explorer is being stupid, use a proper browser like firefox. This is outside our control.

I have the same problem. I found on internet explorer website, to upgrade to ie8. I did that, went back to downloads and now if I click downloads, the next page comes up, but not with all the infomation. the bottom corner of my page says "done with errors".
It looks like romulation may have tried to post an answer...but I can't see it either. when I click where it looks like the posted, I get the "internet explorer cannot open the page...operation aborted".
I have been reading that it was an update from IE...but not real sure.
I found this which may help romulation as well:

there is nothing wrong with our code. The problem is IE not following web standards as usual.

the 'fix' is for Micro$oft to make their browser work properly. Until they do, you have to find a different browser. If you don't like firefox there's opera or safari.

Or IE8, supposedly the problem doesn't exist there.
