HELP Pls - I can't get any games working on a DS lite using a R4Ds card-

I think I may be missing a step as when I insert the games into the DS lite it just sticks on game loading
I have completed the following with a R4Ds card
1 - Downloaded WinRAR
2 - Selected the games - click on the European option and selected the European server
3 - Saved onto my harddrive and extracted the file.
4 - Click on the folder and selected the .nds file
5 - Copied onto the USB card
6 - Inserted into the SD card into he R4ds card
7 - Loaded onto the DS lite
Then it just comes up as "Loading" - Any advice please

 

Do you have the correct firmware for your card on the MicroSD?

 

Make sure take all the files out of the folder when you extract the firmware.

 

Can we ask what type of R4, From your box or card?

On the card it states - R4 Revolution for DS(NDSL/NDS). It is a Scandisk 4GB Micro SD Micro SD. Can you advise on the firm ware as I'm not sure if I've even downloaded any firmware - sorry not that great on the tech side of things

EDIT: also you can use non "SDHC" 4gb microSD card

 

There are non-SDHC 4GB MicroSD cards that work with the R4.

 

It will on a SDHC type

 

No,you misunderstood me.
I mean, 4GB Micro SD that are NOT SDHC exist,and they work with the Original R4.
They're quite rare though.

I know of microSD cards and types... i was just asking hear or him if its a

R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS)

or

R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) SDHC ?

So we can get the firmware right

 

Its the one in the picture - R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) - the card is ScanDisk 4GB Micro SD HC

 

It's ok try the firmware in the mediafire link sugested ^

Backup games and saves , Format your card or deleate all files, unpack all file form rar arcive onto you microSD card, Place games in NDS Games folder, And see if it works, Well it dose work on my R4 in the pic!.

 

The Original R4 doesn't support SDHC.
That's probably whats causing the the problem.

 

What SD card should i buy?

 

As long as it does not say "SDHC" it'll work.
2GB ones are common.

For pic abouth ^ any 2gb microSD or 1gb microSD will do!

For the R4 with the simble SDHC, then you need a microSD Card with SDHC simble on it also

I would recomend kingston microSD 2gb, for your normal R4
