Hey again! Okay, when I put the R4 in my DS, it says "Loading" and stays frozen there! What do I do? I tried blowing in it and stuff to see if there was any dust but it still doesn't work. =(

alright, im going to need a bit more information. Open up your R4 and tell me what files are located in the root of your card.

you may need to format your card to fix it

woah, lets not jump to conclusions. while this is a possibility, lets make sure they have the correct system files first.

Formatting will not hurt anything. Infact it's best way to ensure a fresh Firmware install.

Backup game files and saved games.
    Format Card.
    Put firmware files on card.
Put game files and saved games back on card.

It will only add a couple minutes to putting Firmware on the card and will ensure fewer problems. And you don't lose a thing.

Thanks for trying to help but I reinstalled all the firmware yet it still doesn't work. Do you think that I need a new MicroSD 4G? I have a 1G and I put it into my R4 and it works fine so I know there is nothing wrong with the R4 itself.

No, you've just answered the question. Original R4 does not support 4GB microSD cards, only 1GB and 2GB.

just take all of your files onto your computer, to back them up and then format your card, and put your files back on.. it works for me that way

R4 SDHC can use 4GB and I've not heard anything about problems with that clone. As I said above, original R4 CANNOT use 4GB cards

Just to clear up...I DO have R4 SDHC or whatever. The newer version.

So are you using the correct firmware files? There are numerous different "R4" cards.
