I'm really at a lost of what to do. Can anyone tell me the step by step procedure to make the (U) game work normally such that it comes out as english? Thanks a lot! =D

Take out your cart startup DS, press bottom screen, tap middle bottom screen, press A twise, and see if your bios lang is set to english

On the overhand , backup your games and saves, format microSD, replace firmware and games + saves

Did you import your DSi from Japan?

Supposedly the JP model DSi doesn't have an English menu option. If that's true, certain games that use the system setting (like Sonic Rush Adventure) will only be playable in Japanese. At least on a real cart. I don't know about roms.

On second thought... Looks like you're out of luck, unless there's a hack to replace the firmware (I don't know if that's been done). Evidence points to the JP model DSi not having an English system menu option. http://tinyurl.com/yl4tz9y

Sort of. What I was trying to say is that some games use the menu language. Like my Sonic Rush Adventure example, real carts of such games cannot be played in any other language besides Japanese if inserted into a Japanese DSi.
