well...i go to e-book and then i click on a text.... but some of it comes in japenese or chinese or something... i want it to be all english.. there are no settings i could change or are there?? HELP!!! ??? 8)
ok, so what i meant to say was that...i downloaded this book on my DS, and the text is comming along fine, except when there are quotation marks, etc, then they show up as weird symbols, and totally ruin the enjoyment of reading the text. Is there any way that will make those weird symbols go away and show up as what they are actually suppose to be! Your help needed, it will be very well appreciated! ;D thank you PEACE
I haven't tried it myself but that might be caused by the language setting enforced by the internal software/firmware that you've installed on the R4. There may be a fix for it, but since it's a minor problem I highly doubt it. =/
Actually its because maybe its not a notepad .txt file it could be another type of file that has page breaks and such that makes its look like that cause its happened to me before ;D
i find that if i save all my Word or notebook files to a simple .txt file..it works just fine on my R4. of course i do the highlight-copy-paste-save method of getting my ebooks. good luck!
I've had this happen to me before, and Sorrow24 is right, partly anyway, it seems there are certain characters that the R4 (or M3 Simply) don't know what to do with and some of these are visible in notepad as those unknown character symbols but unless I simply miss some there are others that the R4 wont read but notepad will. I use the find and replace function to get rid of them.
