    hi

im a father of two who want to play some games on my old ps1. so i lookup for some games and i find some roms and isos. problem is what has to be done with these files to play them on ps1. do i burn them on cd, or do i have to do something with them prior burning ? ps1 has some chip inside cos i can play backup cds.

you need to extract the iso file from the archive (either winrar or 7zip will do it, you can find them on google) then you have to burn the ISO to a CD. The exact process varies according to your burning software, but it's something along the lines of 'burn image'. Just to avoid confusion, it is NOT a data CD, so you don't add the iso file to a CD, you have to use the burn image command. If you can't find that option, I reccommend you try ImgBurn (can be found on google and it's freeware.) I have never personally burned a PSX game, but people seem to recommend using the slowest possible burn speed, and branded media such as verbatim or maxwell.

try them, but if they don't work be prepared to try a different brand. The main point is that they aren't the cheap unbranded ones.
