i got this f card yesterday from D/E and its the one with the blue usb fire reader,
anyway cut a long story short i took off the xmenu and put on what i thought was the latest update, created a games folder, dumped all the games in
and they all play brill, but it will not save any game,
is it cause i dumped the file it came with and did not save
have i the wrong x menu
    is it broken beyond repair

i have done a format but all i get now is data is not align 16k
and yes been a tit i formatted it in win xp instead of the usual way, but it would not do it that way

please help before my son beats me up cause he cant play ought

    What the?...

Try reinstalling your firmware, then just dragging your extracted games straight on.

    hi

yes i tried that a few times it seems to be missing some sort of file thats been taken of when i formatted it in the pc
cause no matter what i try it is only saying "not align 16k"

You can try installing an older version of the firmware, the team may have forgotten a vital file in the latest firmware package.

    hi again

i thank every one who has helped but i have tried and better tried and still no joy
except i have now managed to format it the correct way via the lead and via holding down L n R, A n B etc

tried various firmwares and still no luck apart from every game i try they work perfect but will not save at all, any of them

is there anything else i can try before i bin it

    thx well in advance

If the official firmware does not work properly (try to test it with a confirmed compatible rom if you can) then it may be an idea to return it as faulty.
