Last year i got an R4 card, it's been working fine. There's never been a problem when doing the arm7 patch thing.

But latley i've been having problems.I've got hold of Proffessor Layton 2, Bowsers inside story and Legend of Zelda Spirit tracks.
Now the problem is, they load as normal until i get to the nintendo logo, then it seems the ds resets itself and the backlight goes out..completley, i still get the sound but no light.

I've tried the soft reset thing but it still isnt working.
    Any help would be welcome.
    Ta very much.

Have you got any "real" games?

Maybe it's the r4 and not the ds.

Yep i have real games, and they work fine, as do a host of other games on my R4, it's just the latest ones that seem to do this.

If you have the original R4, the latest firmware is 1.18. You can get it from http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds .

Sounds like the backlight is turning off. Do you have any cheats turned on?

No i have no cheats on, i tried Proffessor Layton 2 and that is now working fine, so thanks for that, it's just Spirit Tracks that's doing it now.
