Help! My R4 does weird!

Could you please help me?
While trying to fix WarioWare D.I.Y. everyone was talking about firmware. And because I didn't now which firmware was on my R4 so I downloaded the newest on the internet (1.18). But now my R4 doesn't work anymore in my ds.
I've seen some topics, but I don't know very much about all those things like firmware. Could someone tell me what to do?

 

Uh, in which sense do you mean "doesn't work anymore"?
Does it freeze on a certain moment?
Also, D.I.Y. has not gotten a fix for the R4 yet (I think).

That's not a real one.

Then you need the R4 SDHC firmware. Not another R4's.
