I am trying to play wild arms 2....i thought i had fixed my 'slowdown' problem but it seems it was only a temp fix. when i enter combat it becomes a 3D game, if there are 2 monsters, its slowed down. if i kill 1 it speeds up to about normal framerate.
can anyone recommend plugin/ settings ? im using epsx 1.7 ......

OK, in that case you should be using Pete's DX7 video plugin. Choose the 'nice' defaults and check the special game fixes section for anything relevant.

there's a link to a plugin pack stickied in this board.

problems like that are generally solved by 'nice' defaults and/or special game fixes.
