Help me identify what game is that?

I saw a girl play some sort of action RPG with a DSi in the train.
I know it will be hard but here goes..

I can see there were 3 characters on the screen, but I think you only control 1.
When you attack a mob, the camera will zoom in to the character, and when the mob die, it zooms out again.
The actions were kinda fast, as I can hear many hitting blows.
The colour palette is quite colourful.
I think the game is in English.
And I know its not Summon Night.

Thats all I know.. lol

Its an action RPG game, something like RO, summon night.
Point on ground to walk there, point on mob to attack it...

 

I don't know then. I don't play too many of them. That was what came to mind.

 

It could be Soma Bringer. It has english patch, and fits the description.

Yeah, sounds like soma bringer.
It could also of been FF ring of fates/echoes of time or phantasy star zero, but I don't think they zoom in/out during battle.

..unless you're saying it was 2d.

 

tales of hearts? Tales of tempest? Tales of innocence? Your description sounds extremely similar to these games, although they're not in english. The action happens very fast, and you do control only 1 out of 3 chars. They are great games that japanese developers love to hold out on us.

Too bad its in Japanese. Anyone know if the English patch is any good?

Soma Bringer has almost perfect translation. So good you will forget it's fan made.

 

As said, Soma Bringer has an option to zoom in when you attack a moonster. I prefer to check that out though.
