Ok so this christmass Im giving myself a new comp but I have NO IDEA about parts.... Well sorta.... I know I needs a CPU, case, hard drive, +4gigs of ram, a videocard, a mobo, and a power supply.... But either than that NO IDEA!! So I was hoping someone could help me.... There is an NCIX close to me so thats where Im buying the parts.... So far Ive played with the "PC Builder" tab but I dont know if Im doing anything right.... So if someone could help me that would be great!! Oh before I forget.... The cost have to be $625ish before tax and I would like it to have the case Coolermaster Elite 310 White W/ Pink Trim (I like the colour) and the graphics card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti (It comes with games)

    Thanks (>^~^)>

I strongly advise against a nvidia graphics card, their value is highly questionable (they are expensive and dont seem to be all that good as far as games go).

with your budget you pretty much have to build an AMD system if you want it to be any good.

756$ It was on budget but I forgot the PSU. You could get a smaller Hard drive or somthing, IDK lol. But like loony said, you should get a AMD/ATI video instead of nvidia

intel processors are overpriced, as are motherboards for intel processors, you'd be better off with AMD.

Also no cooler was mentioned, stock coolers are useless, especially intel ones.

you'd have difficulty using the ram suggested by soulrunner due to lack of clearance below the cpu cooler.

Generally I prefer AMD aswell, but I used intel in my latest build and I liked it. Although i was budget less on that one.

If your looking for an AMD build:

    MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131651

    Cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181018

    Total is 654$

I was looking at this motherboard, but it looks like its not very reliable.

    asrock are touch and go.

btw the cpu link is an asus mobo and the mobo link is an asrock mobo

PSU link is a copy of the hard disk link

liquid cooling is a bit extreme and probably wont go too well in the chosen case.

Guess I should have check my links lol, ill fix that

And yeah watercooling is probably overkill, but its compact and cheap, nm then the highend air coolers

liquid cooling isnt something you do on the cheap, too much risk of damage if something goes wrong. Also I doubt it would fit in the case, which I believe is a mid tower.

    Links fixed

And that WC is a good one, I have it in my comp, which I had for a few months now. Had no trouble with it and keeps my temps nice and low.
