HELP! Internet download speed drop

2 Days ago my computer was downloading at 500-700kb (Yeah that speed rocks!.) But ever since I downloaded a program called TCPOptimizer (Its supposed to make your internet faster...yeah right) and my speed has dropped all the way down to 50-150kb, If anyone has ever used that program please let me know. Another thing, a few snow storms have been going around lately (Yay Canada....) so I was wondering if that could be part of the problem. If someone else is using DSL and they are having the same problem please tell me.

Call your ISP to see if there is an outage, and or uninstall the software and try a speed test.

 

Well every time I do a speed test it says that my download speed is about 20,000kb.... ???

I would try what I mentioned earlier. Who is your ISP (internet service provider)?
