I have tried to find the Firmware everywhere. Everything I try on my sons DSi gives me the black screen with the following:

"An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."

The version on his DSi Ver is - 1.4.3U

I would ideally like someone that a preloaded already work with this DSi Version to send me a copy of the file so I can just copy and paste.

    Thanks,

Ok. Here's your problem. Your TTDSi hasn't been updated to support the DSi 1.43U firmware update. In order to fix this, you will need a DS Lite.

    1. Download this: http://download.ndstt.biz/3ds/TTi1.43_3ds2.0_1.17.zip
    2. Copy and paste the files to the root of your SD card
    3. Load your TTDSi in a DS Lite.
    4. Run the 'TTi143UPGRADE.nds' file
    5. Follow the promps
    6. Load your TTDSi in your DSi

If it doesn't work, download YSMenu. I'll give you more info on that though, after you have tried.

So you have to have a DS Lite to activate the card?

Pretty much. You can do it on a Dsi or 3ds that the card works on, but that will be hard.
The best option is to borrow a DS lite.

Do you know how to do it on the DSi?

Sorry, but impossible. Because the card can't load, you cant run the patch. Find a DS Lite and run it on that.

My son pulled the TTDS card out before it could upgrade for DSi. Now it is none responsive. How can I fix that?

It's dead I'm afraid. No chance of fixing it. Get a DSTwo.
