help getting super mario galaxy 2 original work!!

ok, so i have a soft modded wii, with darkcorp, and firmware 4.2u, but when i try to play the original super mario galaxy 2, it says i have to update firmware, i update it but it erases my cios installed with the darkcorp, so is there a way to make the game work, and keep my hacked cios on the wii?

 

Use Priiloader, install DarkCorp, follow the 4.2 soft-mod guide first please.

Ensure you do all of the steps. Including installing the hacked IOS70 to make your System Menu Region Free and enable Priiloader.

You really need cIOS249 if you're going to install Priiloader.

The worst thing you can do is update your Wii via Nintendo...did you even read up on it before you soft-modded your Wii?

You could have bricked it...

 

yeah, i read it, i know you dont have to update, but on the darkcorp official site, it said that i could install 4.2 after having darkcorp cios installed, i have already installed this on another wii and it worked, im not sure what happened oin this one,

 

You updated via Nintendo disc update and not through DarkCorps...

You should learn more about Soft-modding before doing other people's Wiis...

So...you updated from a Nintendo disc before on another console?

It should have erased all of the Soft-modding you had done.
If it didn't, then you updated via another method.

 

no, i didnt update via disc, but by system update in config options

Updating via Nintendo with Homebrew Software is more dangerous than soft-modding your Wii or installing a wad file...

I'm assuming you're on 4.1? If so, then use the method with the 4.1 folder and not the 4.2.

Then, when you install Priiloader with my guide, you can install hacks that will block disc updates.

Everything you need is in there. Including the hacks to block disc/wifi updates.

Good. Make sure to enable the hacks to block future updates.

To go to Priiloader, press the power button while holding the reset button.
Then go and enable the hacks.
