i just bought a 2gb micro sd card. but when i plug it in with a micro sd adaptor, it gives me a message that tells me to format it. when i right click it and go to format.. the window opens and gives me that the size is 30mb, and it can only be formatted in 3 types: NTFS, FAT, and exFAT. once i choose FAT and try to format it, a window pops up and says the card was unable to format. and then another one comes out and tell me to check if the card is in read only, or something like that. then i tried panasonic formatter and it wasnt able to format it either, but gave me another message, that the card is write protected.
can someone help please!!! thanks in advance :)

There's a little switch on the left side of the micro sd adapter. If you push that down the card is ''write protected'' and you can only read it. So (if I'm right) the only thing you have to do is pull the switch up.
    Hope this helps.

i believe micro sd cards dont have that switch. regular sd cards do. thanks for trying though

The adapter (if it's the SD card kind) has the switch on it too.

Well, if you need to repartition it, then you could always use Grub Live Boot CD.
I use that when I need to repartition something that's giving me shit on Windows.
