HELP DOWNLOADING!

    For the part 2 weeks or so, whenever I download a game and try to extract it, it says unexpected end of archive and file corrupted?? what is wrong? I tried redownloading it too but the same thing happens. Please help bc i know this doesn't happen to everyone

    Have you tried using a download manager?

    i use the one for FireFox

    Then use a Download Manager, or DownThemAll, or IE. Try that.

    just tried. doesn't work either... this is so frustrating.....

    Try downloading one of the small files and see if it still happens, and please use the edit feature on your first post to make the title fit our [rules].

    Try using another extraction software to extract the ROM. Maybe that will help.
    I had that problem with WinRar, and for the hell of it decided to try to extract the ROM
    with 7zip and it worked. I'm not saying that it's guaranteed to work, but it's a start.

    If you've downloaded the same thing more than once, right-click on both files and go into the Properties. Do the sizes match exactly? Is it the same as the size the download page says?

    What program are you using to extract?

    its likely that your archives are corrupting due to not downloading completely. Check the file sizes of your rar files against the size stated on the download page. if they dont match then it means your download is timing out before it downloads completely. A download manager should fix the problem.

    Sounds like you had an old version of WinRar, they updated their compression algorithm at some point.
