Help! Cant get past the loading screen.

Hi!

Need some help.

I have a Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) R4 card, a 2gb Sandisk Micro SD card and a 4gb Kingston Micro SD card.

I have followed the tutorial on youtube to set to the card and download games. And have also backed up and formated the 2gb SD card. But it still freezes on the loading screen.

What am I doing wrong?

Please help.

...though I'm not an expert in r4 (hate them-always the one's with trouble these days-most of our traffic is r4 assistance )

Does the firmware match the card?

Is it in the right place?

Those you tube vids don't always help even if you follow exactly...some are fake/misleading...


Or you did something wrong-though I'm not sure...

Can you at least view the r4's menu or is the the game loading screen?

 

I believe it's something to do with the r4 firmware files on the microSD because I've got a similar problem once. Try to make sure you got all the needed files on the card.

I followed the youtube link from this site in 'Youtube videos to help new starters (for r4 in general)'.

I downloaded the following from another site as per the youtube tutorial:
_system_ (folder)
moonshl (folder)
_DS_MENU.dat
_DS_MENU.ini

Is that all of them?

Forgot to say that it doesn't get past the loading screen. I put in the R4 card and turn on the DS. The top screen says 'LOADING' and it gets stuck there.

Then there is something wrong with the files.

Normally a pack with all of those is easy enough-but where to exactly place is the annoying part.

The acekard only took me a few moments to work out-main folder of prefered language (english in my case) and ram that into the root of the card.


Are those files in the root of the card?

(Another tip-where did you get those files-there may have been an updated lot of the firmware you got)

 

Wait, I check my microSDcard first... By the way, where do you download the firmware? Don't you use the R4DS v1.18?

Got it working. Re-downloaded the files from r4ds.com.
