Hello... I am a Noob/Nub/Newb :) <3

Hi, my name is Michelle... I just had a bday Dec. 17th and you can prob guess how old I am by the fact that I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I started playing NES at around 5 years old.. I was in Kindergarten at the time, I can remeber playing Mario Bros and Duck hunt. Then I got the SNES and the Sega Genesis, then the N64, gamecube, playstation, PS2... And then I got into PC gaming mainly World of Warcraft, which I've played now for almost 3 years. I am also playing League of Legends at the moment...

Anyways... I never owned a Gameboy or any handheld gaming system. But I was watching some videos on youtube because my 4 year old son wants a DS cuz all 4 of his cousins have one and came across flash carts and all that and was like wow... I could totally just download all those games and I found this site and joined (I think it's really great)

So... I bought my son a DS Lite and I also got myself one in Metallic Rose (Yay! Girly colors) And I got an Acekard 2 and I installed the Akaio 1.5 and loaders and Moonshell v2 and a bunch of NDS Roms... and it works!!! I think it's great. I may be late on the scene or w/e, but I am excited... I am a big Zelda fan so I get to play Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass and I can even download like GBA ones that I never got to play, like 4 swords and the Minish cap. So, it is exciting for me to have my first handheld ever. I thought about the DSi but maybe I'll get a DSi XL later when it comes out, I read reviews though and just thought I'd stick to the DS lite.

Grr... kind of long, boring intro... huh? Well, that's what I mean by I am a total Nub. Also since I was sucked in by WOW I never bought a Wii or PS3... but am thinking about getting a Wii. I still have my Gamecube and my 4 year old plays on it a lot, he broke the PS2

Great to see your enjoying your DS. You did a good thing buying a DS Lite instead of a DSi, a DSi may have given you more complications in the future in terms of using Flashcarts with it.
