hmm, what do you mean it doesn't turn on? you said the led lights up, the fan spins...

the power supply might not ave enough juice to power the thing... it could also mean a wire might be plugged incorrectly or unplugged...ram could also be a problem...

Can you type the specs? You could always disassemble it to find the culprit... check wires, and I suggest be careful, you can get shocked so fix it without the power on.

Well By Not turn on i mean the led flashes then doesnt appear the fan spins for like 2 seconds and the screen turns on but doesnt show anything .i also recently swapped around the cd drive for the new ps2 HD using the cd drive connectors in the hd as they appear to be the same. also where can the ram be located and addon cards?. Thnx all.

i believe the RAM and add-on cards are inside the computer, on the motherboard ::)

I no there inside and probbably on the motherborad but im not sure exactly where if any1 could take a snapshopt of my computer through the utube video and circle what i am supposed to be detatching that would be 1 step closer to getting it fixed. :)

If there's not blip error, there coulda be RAM, remove it, pass a eraser in the contacts, yes the eraser you use in scholl, then a brush, use it nicelly, don't be strong, then isopropyl alcohol in the ram and ddr slot.
Also check the processor's heat, and power supply can be the problem too, but from the distance we have, just testing one thing by one thing.
But I advise to not do it if you ain't a tech, cuz a thing non tech made without experience can screw it up even more.

i am tech in somethings like PS2,Compiling Revisions using Linux,DS Everything,And Studying PSP Everything but fixing the computers is not one of them .my dad whoever is very good at these things and he said to bring it up with me on the weekend leave it their for 2 weeks then collect it next time i visit him and it should be fixed.but what i dont understand is my computer was working perfectly fine until i took out the Hard Drives to go to a friends house and rip some PS2 Games then i put all the hd's back in the correct placing except i replaced the cd drive with a ps2 drive and now it will not turn on. . so could it be that a wire has been pulled? but also .@ loonylion what good would the pc beeping with all items remove be?

Great your father are a hardware tech too, then let it with him, also, tell him to use MHDD to check the HD for bad block, better be safe than sorry as they say.
I bet that he's good with MS DOS (by judging the age lol), so MHDD ain't gonna be a problem.
Besides, is your pc is based in IDE or SATA?
if is IDE, put the HD in slave mode to see what happens.
And the HD and disk drve can't be in same IDE cable.
But if it's Sata, then the history is diferent...
Well, remove the Disk drive and turn on without it and tell us if it still keep the problem.

if the drive is dead then you need a professional data recovery company, and that doesnt come cheap.

It has to be exact down to the board revision and firmware version, which is extremely difficult to start with, and the operation itself is extremely delicate and easy to royally fuck up. So no, you haven't proven me wrong in the slightest. Better luck next time.
