Having problems

No matter what game i download when i try to put it on my r4 it says: cannot read source file. And the game wont load. Can anybody help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Did you extract the file from the RAR, ZIP, or 7Z, etc, archive with WinRar or 7zip so that it'll be in a .NDS format?

 

Thanks for reply. I did extract using winrar. The problem is that it starts to load but then stops halfway and says cant read source file.

Are you using the correct firmware for your card? And what type of R4 do you have?

 

Im using wood and i beleive the firmware is 1.8? not sure. Is there a way that i can verify firmware? Also im using the R4 Revolution DS card. Thanks.

There is WoodR4 1.13 now. That may be the problem.

Hey ace I updated firmware, tried loading game and it did the same thing. I retried and it loaded and game works! I will try with other games. Thanks again for your time and help.

OK ace I loaded the new firmware on another identical card, and tried to load the very same game and getting the same result. Any ideas as to what might be the cause of this? Again thanks for your time and help.

Not sure what the problem is. What are the sizes of the micro sd cards you are using?

 

2 gig. Thats the max size thats stable with this card i believe.

Have you tried formatting the card? Backup your files first.

Unless you know what you are dowing - "Also" nether mix firmwares on the one microSD chip
