    My specs are
    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 540 @ 1.86GHz
    1014MB RAM
Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family
    Running windows xp
    Direct 9.0c

I think that's all of it. Im using a LENOVO laptop, no fingerprint security scanner. Using one of those finger trackers, a red dot in the middle of the keyboard, i put my finger on it and move. If i missed out some specs please tell.

No its not a decent laptop. I had one years ago that was much better, those specs are very low.

i got this laptop around 2005 - 2006... i am finally getting a new comp around this month... WUUT...
anyway those specs aren't the best any more... to be honest those are pretty bad compared to modern laptops now...

I had a 5 year old Advent with them specs and I gave it away.I recently bought a Lenovo G555 for equivelant to $500(£329).Them specs you got are what them £250 netbooks have now=crap.I would stick W7 on it and see how it runs.

Got the laptop early 2009. Didn't really need a high end, top of the market laptop. Just needed a laptop that's for general use, do some homework, surf the internet and download a few things, to store a bit of music on it, go on a odd game or two. Just wanted to know if it can really do more. It's pretty fast, had no problems on it so far.

Ive had a £3500 Laptop before, and that was 12 years ago.Your Laptop is budget/bottom end/entry level so you cant expect too much-as you get what you pay for.I use a 3 year old Toshiba l350-170 and its OK for me,and I could easily go and buy a £5000 Lappie tommorrow, but in 1 year it would only be worth half what I paid.

So enjoy your Laptop,as theres kids that would love on like youve got LOL

Those specs are decent if you are a student or need it for work

    My laptop specs:

    Intel Pentium III (800 Mhz)
    Win XP
    256 Mb of physical memory
Virtual memory output is 64 Mb
    CD Recordable disc drive
    30 Gb Hard drive

...Well, that about does it. It lags on speed, but it could boot within 30 seconds and start playing old school games on it. I need more memory and space. Actually I needs a new laptop, but not really interested in the highended ones, I'll jus' wait until people recycle some useless parts and then salvage stuff from there. :D

At least consider yourself fortunate that your laptop is well equipped. Mine was handed down.

    4GB RAM
    2.1GHz Dual Core Intel Processor
    320GB HDD
Tri-boot with Backtrack Linux, Gentoo Linux and Windows 7.
ATI HD Radeon (Forgot the model number)
Acer Aspire (Forgot the model name)

That's my laptop, pretty basic for a laptop nowadays. The battery lasts 3 to 4 hours which isn't too good but when I put Gentoo on power saving I can use the note application in that for college. I thought my laptop was kinda lame but now I feel pretty good about it. It only cost me £300.

Unfortunately, my battery has lost all signs of life...I have to plug to dam thing in every time I use it.

I'd be more concerned of how a laptop has a family history, and not if your specs are good.

Mine was given to me by a friend, since she replaced her's. I don't mind the specs unless they are below 800 Mhz, because I have older used consoles that I bought all for nothing with specs crappier than my laptops way below average grade. I have tried to play Dvds below them and it turns out anything under 800 Mhz cannot playback Dvds.

And when I got the laptop from her, the laptop had other issues, but it works fine now.

just like the old laptop handed down to me. it was basically our desktop before because of Dad's stingy-ness on buying a new one. We bought a new pc because mom got some extra money and we kinda bought something that fits dad's stingy attitude even though it was not his money. It still good, but well, we can't put games cause it's their computer.

To be honest, a laptop that has dead batt should be converted to a desktop. If its still for mobile use, God bless you to help find an outlet.

I had a laptop that had a broken screen, so I took off the screen entirely and connected a monitor to it's vga port. Successfully converted laptop

My laptop works best when it's battery is about 55%-100%, 40%-54% it's okay slows down a little bit, below that it starts to slow down pretty bad. My battery life is about 2-3 and a half hours.

heh, I have a lenovo laptop too but with a fingerprint scanner. the best part, ALL lenovo laptops are spill proof. go ahead spill some water on your keyboard. it'll seep right below it
