you don't need a sata controller, theres one built in to the motherboard.

I suggest you get windows 7 professional or ultimate, home has limited compatibility with XP software (this is not widely advertised by microsoft)

I would recommend a higher wattage power supply than 400W, but you have chosen a good brand.

320GB will not last long. Windows 7 can use up to 20GB and most games are multi-GB these days.

I would probably recommend getting Windows XP 64 bit, but that's personal preference. Not to mention the fact that Loony said.. It's more compatible.

XP 64 bit has very poor compatibility.

Is that so? Well I use 32 bit. But I guess it depends on what you actually do when using your OS.

if it's for gaming, 32-Bit XP(Home) is the way to go. 64-Bit(Professional) is aimed at businesses.

all you are talking about is what i should do to get it better. I upgraded the wattage to 500 watt.
    BUT:the main question is
IS THIS A GOOD PC FOR GAMING OR NOT?

I think it's pretty damn good to use for gaming.

Its not too bad a price.
    545€ or 768$
I was also wondering. what do you need for wireless internet? a network card? Or wireless lan?

a HSDPA modem. Don't bother with it, its slow and expensive.

Wireless lan allows you to connect to a normal broadband connection wirelessly (within about 100 feet of the router) but it is slow and unreliable.

so i just need one of these usb "wireless N" dongles?

if you already have a wireless router, yes. wireless is not good for online gaming, however.

but i can still use a wireless LAN to connect to regular broadband, no?

can't you just buy and use a ethernet cable, cause if its a pc, a solid connection using a cable is better than easily disturbed signals from wireless routers?

wired is always superior to wireless, yes.

yes wired is much better... I just so happened to be blessed to have a PC that lacks an ethernet port, so I'm forced to use wireless... I lose network connection while playing online games every 5-10 minutes, not fun at all.

I disagree with this.. I use Wireless for Online Gaming, and I never lose my connection during the game and I don't suffer any lag either.. I think it would be wiser to say that wireless in some situations is perfectly alright and will be suitable, but yes Wired will always be superior.
