Is there anyway to run PS1 isos on my PS3..??
    what do I need?
and doing this (if possible) will get me banned or something?

no, it cannot be done. PS3 cannot be modded.

and, even if it could be modded, i doubt it could play psx games. most ps2 games don't work on the current ps3s, so i guess psx wouldn't work either.

All original PSX games work on a PS3.

they do? odd, thought they wouldn't, as the ps2 games don't (most of them).

does every ps3 run psx games ?

All PS3s have PS1 support (Some games may have glitches though, Sony's official site has a list).

Only PS3s with Four USB ports can play PS2 games. Of course the USB ports have nothing to do with the PS2 support, it's just an easy way to tell. Otherwise you have to look up your model and everything and compare it to a list. So far all the PS3 with either Hardware or Software emulation of PS2 games have Four USB ports.
