Different coloured Sprites like Different stuff. To check this, click Menu or X button. Go to Assets. Now click on Inhabitants lists where it shows all the people you talked to and the hearts. Press Y or switch tabs Now yu can see the names of Harvests and what they liked.
You can show the same ingredients to Haila and Nick, and they will give you different recipes. Your best bet is to cook Boiled Egg first by showing Nick an egg.
