Harvest Moon - Friends of Mineral Town problem

    I' having trouble for this game,the game seems cannot be save(in game,not Shift+F#).Can someone tell me why i can't save this game & how to solve this?Below are the details about the game:

    ROM: 1268 - Harvest Moon - Friends of Mineral Town (U)
    Emu: VBA ver. 1.8.0-beta 3 ???

    That's odd..
    It's should be saved normally..without any problem...

    No I can't.I even try to redownload the rom but the result still the same. ???

    It's the emulator. It might not be properly configured.

    Erm..I don' know much about how to configure VBA or maybe the program just damage..If so, where can i download a new one?

    Ah..and i forgot to mention that the .rar files seem weird because usually when open(no extract) the file text colour is black,but when i open this .rar, the file text is blue..could this also be the cause

    VBA only supports .gba files within .zip files.

    .zip files (WinRAR/ 7zip)
    .rar files (WinRAR/ 7zip)

    if ever your game is in .rar format, convert it to .zip.

    Try the 2nd link I posted.

    I see,that solve the problem,I try to change the extension .rar to .zip and change to new VBA..somehow,it solve the problem.Still i don't quit understand about the 2nd link you posted.. :p
    but i try to understand it more..Thanks for the help :)

    You should also learn how to properly configure the emulator for better performance.
