Something really funky happened to me a few hours ago. I downloaded a file from Rapidshare & what I noticed was the lay out of the site was different, even the logo was different. And as I was about to download the file, I read this message: "Downloads are free of security.. blah blah (I forgot the rest), then at the end was... "Enjoy your download thanks to rapidshare's download happy hours" Then the usual method of inputing the generated alpha numeric code via an image you look at was absent, as well as the choose download method by (cogent, etcetera), but the download proceeded. After unpacking my downloaded file (it was .rar compressed) I got hit by a virus that I easily purged. So, has rapidshare been hacked & bugged by somebody, or was this a rare incident?
No Rapidshare changed their layout and happy hour is a time in which you dont have to enter the code (which are now nearly impossible)
But how come it always says that, regardless of what time I log on, say I log on now, then after 5 or 6 hours later I log on again, it still says happy hour
Yeah, they changed the whole site. They said they have been experimenting with Happy Hours, which still has a few bugs and it's like free premium. I'm not complaining There's a chance they forgot to virus check maybe, or maybe your antivirus is bad.
